After his retrospective exhibition at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca, Mexican artist Fernando Palma Rodríguez is having his first solo museum exhibition in the U at MoMA PS1S. Palma's work combines his training as mechanical engineer and artist to create kinetic works that use robotics and programming to perform complex choreographies.

The artist’s practice focuses on indigenous ancestral knowledge, both as an integral part of contemporary life and a way of shaping the future, bringing together ancient traditions with contemporary concerns through different media such as sculpture, video, and painting.
