The Consulate General of Mexico in New York co-organized the first joint tourism and cultural promotion event with the Consulate General of Turkey in New York. The event aimed to promote Mexico as a tourist destination, highlighting its culture, music, traditions, and gastronomy. It was attended by more than 150 guests from specialized media, tourism agencies, tour operators, the Mexican and Turkish-American business community, and the consular diplomatic corps attached to this city.

The artistic program, co-organized with the MCINY, included the presence of a Quartet of the Symphony Orchestra of the Americas under the direction of the Mexican Felipe Tristán, who offered a repertoire of traditional Mexican songs in classical music. Later, there was a presentation of the Poughkeepsie Folkloric Ballet of Felipe Santos, who presented two traditional dances of the Guelaguetza of Oaxaca: Flor de Piña and Jarabe Mixteco. Finally, there was the presence of the traditional Mariachi Tapatío by Álvaro Paulino. The event was attended by the Nahualli Gallery, a Mexican art space that recently opened its doors in Manhattan. On this occasion, it presented five pieces of Hichol art by Mexican artist, César Menchaca.

This event had the support and sponsorship of Tequila Gran Centenario, Mezcal 400 Conejos, Próximo Spirits, La Contenta, La Newyorkina, and Don Paco López Mexican bakery.
