Join us for a panel discussion in celebration of the New York City Opera's upcoming production of CRUZAR LA CARA DE LA LUNA, the world's first mariachi opera, which tells the story of an immigrant family divided by the U.S./Mexican border and has earned raves from critics and audiences worldwide. A panel of experts will discuss the opera, its themes of immigration and the history of mariachi music.

Following the discussion, we will be joined by chef José Quintana from the restaurant Rosa Mexicano for a guacamole demonstration and tasting.
