The "Taller de Poesía Mexicana Migrante" was a literary initiative by the Mexican Cultural Institute in New York, held at the Consulate General of Mexico in New York on March 25th.

During the event, Mexican poet Ana Paula Martínez Garrigós and writer Sara Padilla explored the process of demystifying the creative journey. They shared their personal experiences and unique approaches to poetry with the participants. Throughout the workshop, attendees were encouraged to write their own poems, inspired by works of Mexican female poets as well as their own experiences as migrants.

This workshop was part of the International Women’s Month celebrations, providing a space for participants to reflect on their identities and experiences through the lens of poetry. The event brought together 25 individuals, all eager to engage in the creative process and deepen their understanding of the intersection between migration and poetry. It was a meaningful and enriching experience for everyone involved, sparking powerful conversations and connections.
